The Revere Golf Club, Concord Course Overview: The Concord Golf Course is one of strangest desert golf courses the author has played
(which is odd as the Lexington course located at the same Revere Golf Club is great), this golf course spends most of the front nine in a valley between houses on the hills
surrounding. The back nine is then pretty
hilly and each nine features large rocks to at least one side of each fairway
rendering any slightly wayward shot a disaster.
The few fun or memorable golf holes are listed below:
The Revere Golf Club, Concord Course Hole 8: This par three golf hole actually feels like a real desert offering, not a contrived, rock-strewn hole like so many on this course. It requires a good tee shot, both distance and alignment considered. |
The Revere Golf Club, Concord Course Hole 17: This hole is mentioned purely out of spite. The drive on this uphill par four is fair enough, but the second shot is ridiculously uphill with a rock hard green. Thus, any shot flying onto the green will bound over into the trees behind and anything hit short may be rejected and come back down the hill to the golfer. The best option from the fairway may sadly be a putter. (not pictured)
The Revere Golf Club, Concord Course Hole 18: The last golf hole of the day is decent as a huge drive between the bunkers can catch the slope and run forever, leaving the golf a shot at going for the green in two, over the wash to the well protected green. Any 2nd or 3rd shot, however, will likely have a severe downhill lie.
