Angel Park Golf Club, Mountain Course Review
Summerlin, NV
71.1 rating; 130 slope |
Angel Park Golf Club, Mountain Course Overview: Located in Summerlin, above the strip in Las Vegas, Angel Park Golf Club's Mountain Course is typical desert Vegas golf. The golf course uses natural washes and throws in some lakes to add a resort feel, but is relatively forgiving most of the way
around. However, the greens have more
slope than the average desert course, which makes scoring well more of a
challenge than it appears from each tee box.
The best golf holes are described below:
Angel Park Golf Club, Mountain Course Hole 2: The classic risk reward par five, the tee shot is wide open to let the player who can hit a big drive whet his appetite. The green is then behind a lake, but what makes the hole good is the hidden lake behind the green that will gobble up and aggressive shot going 20 yards long (not too unheard of for the player hitting long iron or fairway wood). The green also has tremendous slope. (not pictured) Angel Park Golf Club, Mountain Course Hole 7: By far the best golf hole on the course features a very tight drive with desert left and right. The farther the tee shot goes, the more unlikely it will be playable out of the desert, which gets more rugged. The second shot is uphill, with more desert right of the green. |
