Recreation Park Golf Course Overview: This municipal golf course is usually packed with people. It has many short holes and a distinct lack of any water hazards. With the exception of perimeter / OB fences on about 6 holes, there is little danger to be found. The greens are small and sloping, which is the course's best defense along with several dogleg par fours. See below for a review of the best golf holes on this course:
Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 1 (right): This is one of many short par fours on the course but this one has the driving range fence to the left and out of bounds long and left through the dogleg. The green can be driven, but there is a bunker right and the green is shallow from that angle.
Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 3 (below): The tightest drive of the day requires length also as the hole is over 400 yards and the green is tough to hit. It is raised with a bunker to the right and downward slope left. Any shot way left will find the street.

Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 5: The shortest par three on the course is downhill and requires little more than a wedge. However, the two fronting bunkers are a real bad spot to be, and shot missing anywhere else will likely bound down a hill, leaving a possibly tough up and down.
Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 7: The second of three tough par fours in a row, this one has a drive over a valley and then doglegs to the right to a green near the snack shack. OB pinches in left near the green.
Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 8: This dogleg has a tough corner to cut but the more of it that is challenged, without ending up in the trees, will allow for a better / shorter approach to the downhill green with bunkers on either side. Putts from above and left of the hole should be avoided, as they are very fast.
Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 10: Possibly the best designed hole on the course is a downhill dogleg right par four. The green is sloped strongly back to front and left right. Being positioned in the fairway on the opposite side of the pin placement (left vs. right or vica versa) is key to getting close for a birdie putt.
Recreation Park Golf Course Hole 17: With an elevate tee shot, if the wind is nil or trailing, this par five is a great scoring opportunity. The main trouble is the series of trees and bushes down the left and then the greenside bunker to the right of the putting surface.
