National Golf Club, Turkey Summary: One of the older golf courses in the
region, this track has fallen into disrepair with poorly manicured greens,
which is not good for a resort golf course.
There is significant challenge of the tee and a multitude of different
holes. The green complexes, however, are
fairly easy to attack and without much character. The most interesting golf holes
are mentioned below:
National Golf Club Hole 2: The first par three of the round is over water to a fairly large and flat green. It offers a nice test of nerves early in the round and is the most aesthetically pleasing hole on the course.
National Golf Club Hole 2: The first par three of the round is over water to a fairly large and flat green. It offers a nice test of nerves early in the round and is the most aesthetically pleasing hole on the course.
National Golf Club Hole 4: This long par five has marshland running down the entire left side of the hole from tee to green and it is in play for all shots, although the drive is the most difficult. The approach is to a slightly elevated green with deep bunkers to the left and right.
National Golf Club Hole 12: A dogleg left par five, this hole offers the best tee shot on the course with strategic options due to the marsh and creek running through the fairway about 280 yards from the tee. Once across the creek, the approach will be uphill to a two-tiered green with a large bunker short and right.
National Golf Club Hole 14: Long and straight, the drive must avoid the large tree just right of the fairway to allow for a shorter approach to the green. Said approach is made very difficult by the lake running down the left and the steep slope bounding anything missing left down to a watery grave.
