Indian Canyons South Course Overview: Located back up between the mountains in the far southwestern reaches of Palm Springs, this fairly easy golf course features a decent amount of water features and a ton of squatty Palm trees. Both of these are used to add quite a bit of intrigue on several holes. The best of these golf holes are reviewed below:
Indian Canyons South Course Hole 3: Running along the perimeter of the course with OB desert to the left, this hole has a beautiful view and a twist. A long drive between the bunkers makes the green reachable, however, three squat palm trees guard the very shallow green. Thus, any long shot coming in will have to slice around the trees or chance bouncing through them. The layup shot (if close enough) can easily fly the trees.

Indian Canyons South Course Hole 5: The first of two identical length, straight par fours, this one is slightly more forgiving off the tee, but anything left is OB and anything right may be blocked by a series of Palm trees. Bunkers pinch in for long drives to render finding the fairway and leaving a short iron a difficult task.
Indian Canyons South Course Hole 6: The drive is very tight on this par four with OB left and a thick series of squat Palm trees to the left. However, it's the two tall, bent Palm trees acting as a gateway to the green, framed by mountain vistas that make this hole very appealing with a distinctly desert feel.
Indian Canyons South Course Hole 9: The closing hole the front nine has a lake that can be in play on all three shots (but requires a 280+ drive pushed right). For the player that can fit a drive between the lake and bunker, an opportunity to fly the lake (or bailout slightly left) and make birdie presents itself.
Indian Canyons South Course Hole 12: There are two very difficult par fours on this course, and number 12 is the one that features a watery grave for any shot straying slightly to the right. The mountain backdrop is nice.
Indian Canyons South Course Hole 16: The second of two short par fours on the back nine (#13 is the other) wrapping around a large lake, this one has water in play on both shots. However, the player can hit a mid iron followed by wedge, so scoring well shouldn't be a problem for the player in control of their nerves.
