Running Y Golf Course Overview: This golf course located in the Running Y Ranch and features a balance of holes that feel wide open and those that are quite tree-lined, creating a varied, but strong golfing experience. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the best golf holes as described below:
Running Y Golf Course Hole 1: The first golf hole is a dogleg left par four that features tall trees to the right and long grasses to the left. The green is guarded by sand traps and more long grasses to the left.

Running Y Golf Course Hole 2: Similar in direction and feel to the first, the second is a par five that requires two or three good shots between the trees to the right and the long grasses to the left. The green is again cut between sand traps and nearby long grasses that will grab a loose shot.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 3: The third hole is a short par four with a lake that fronts the green. Tee shots can find it if they go too far left, so the layup is the sensible answer. The green is very wide and not deep so finding the fairway will help the golfer keep a shot on the putting surface. Chips from behind the green will be tough.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 4: One of the more daunting tee shots on the course, the fourth features water down the right and bunkers and OB to the left of the fairway. If negotiated, the second shot is slightly uphill to a green that is wide and much easier to access for pins left of middle.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 5: The first par three of the day is the classic one with water to the right and hills and bunkers pretty much everywhere else (except just short). Thus the courageous and accurate shot is the only one rewarded as all others will be a tough par.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 9 (left): The final hole on the front is way downhill. The par four plays much shorter than the yardage and a good tee shot should leave a relatively easy shot to a green that is sizeable, even if it is ringed by bunkers.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 10 (below): The back nine opens with a par five that has no trees, but it does have a creek down the left for the drive and then a lake that is left of the fairway for the second shot and for the approach to the green.

Running Y Golf Course Hole 12: This tree-lined par three is downhill to a green that has a couple of sand traps to avoid, but is otherwise fairly straight forward.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 13 (right): The drive on this uphill par four is very tight between the trees with one of them, that is bent, really closing in on the right side of the fairway. Two strong shots are required here.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 14 (below): This par four has a pretty drive between the trees and, the best shot will hug the right side of the fairway as the angle to the green is better from the right side, namely to help avoid the deep bunker to the left of the green.

Running Y Golf Course Hole 16 (left): This downhill par four is long and very narrow, requiring a straight and long drive to leave a reasonable approach to the green.
Running Y Golf Course Hole 17 (below): The final par three of the day is very unique. The elevated tee shows the green slightly to the right, but the player has a choice. The left fairway is wide and will make the hole play its full length. There is, however, a fairway more elevated to the right, between the trees that is tighter and surrounded by more trouble. However, from there, approximately 30 yards are cut off the hole, making it more accessible to reaching in two. This feels a little bit like a video game but is definitely unique.

Running Y Golf Course Hole 18: The finishing hole is the classic long par four with a lake down the left side, in play for most people more on the second shot than on the drive, but still in play for the big hitters. It does have the added feature of a split fairway, with a tiny run of rough up the left/middle.
