Stonecreek Golf Club Overview: This golf course is built in the city of Scottsdale and makes no attempt to seem like a desert golf course, but pulls off a decent track, even though surrounded by many a house and condominium complexes. The Stone Creek does come into play on a few of the golf holes, and it is a major factor when combined with water hazards on the back nine. The best golf holes are reviewed below:
Stonecreek Golf Club Hole 1: The opening golf hole has a simple drive with a wide landing area, as long as the player doesn’t flirt with the lake close to the green. The approach, however, gets right to the point of things, as the lake is definitely in play regardless of pin position.
Stonecreek Golf Club Hole 6: This par four seems simple from the tee as the player can opt to hit a drive to the left side of the fairway or flirt with the bunker running down the right side to gain a shorter approach to the green. The approach is also less visually daunting than it really is as the lake just to the right of the green is difficult to see due to the terrain, but will gobble up any errant shot.
Stonecreek Golf Club Hole 12: This long par three is tough with a lake just right of the green and a large bunker to the left of the green. So, a straight shot must be produced to avoid a large number. (not pictured)
Stonecreek Golf Club Hole 14: A dogleg right par four with water in play on the first and second shots, this golf hole is a good test of accuracy and distance.
Stonecreek Golf Club Hole 14: A dogleg right par four with water in play on the first and second shots, this golf hole is a good test of accuracy and distance.
Stonecreek Golf Club Hole 16: Long and brutal, this is one of the most difficult golf holes anywhere as the golfer will find OB the entire length of the hole on the left and Stone Creek down the right, which pours into a large lake fronting the green. The fairway is not wide and there are fairway bunkers and hills added to make a lot of uneven lies before reaching the well-bunkered and small green.
