Mountain Gate Overview: This country club sits high above the Sepulveda pass of the
405 freeway and has three nine hole tracks (North/South/Lakes). The north nine is short, hilly and otherwise
forgettable, but difficult due to the small greens and thick rough. The south nine is another story, with shots
over cliffs, water and less bad holes.

Mountain Gate Hole 2 (North): This par three is features a very wide green that seems to horseshoe around a very deep and unforgiving bunker. However, any shot hit long will find itself on a steep hill pitching to a green that is running away from the player severely. (Not pictured)
Mountain Gate Hole 2 (South): By far the best golf hole on the course, this par four winds its way around a left around a canyon from tee to green. The player must cut off some of the canyon to leave a reasonable approach to the green which is out on a peninsula, with bunkers surrounding the green and canyon short, left and long. Even if the player decides to lay-up, they must be careful as there is a hidden lake to the right of the fairway about 80 yards from the green.

Mountain Gate Hole 3 (South): A nice par 3 with a nerve-racking approach, this golf hole puts a premium on accuracy. With canyon short, left and long, one might think right is a safe play, which it is unless the player goes too far right and bounds down a hill into the hidden lake. If the green can be hit, birdie is a good option as the green is relatively flat.
Mountain Gate Hole 4 (South): This par four has a pretty tee shot where player can bite off more of the corner in order to leave a shorter and better-angled approach to the elevated green.
