Shadow Hills Golf Club Overview: This golf course, built in and around a
senior housing community, fares better than it would otherwise seem. Although surrounded by houses, there is
plenty of room for golf and views are snuck in between developments to retain a
little desert feel. Sparse, but
thoughtful use of bunkers and water hazards allow for challenge, but not an
unavoidable one. This yields for an
enjoyable round of golf. The most
interesting golf holes are reviewed below:
Shadow Hills Golf Club Hole 9: The close to the front nine features a tight drive with water left and driving range OB right. The second shot will be fairly long and then have to deal with a lake running down the right side of the countoured green.

Shadow Hills Golf Club Hole 11: This beast of a hole is straight and requires two long bombs to get home. Usually with the prevailing wind, it is do-able, but a large tier bisecting the left and right halves of the green will make the player wield the flat blade even if the 450 yards are well negotiated.
Shadow Hills Golf Club Hole 13: The most picturesque hole on the course is a slight dogleg left where the only real trouble is the obvious water hazard.
Shadow Hills Golf Club Hole 14: This long par three requires a good shot to clear the water and large bunker in front of the green.
Shadow Hills Golf Club Hole 18: The last golf hole of the day, if played into the wind, is especially difficult as it is long to begin with. The approach will be played with a mid iron or longer and has to avoid the water short and left of the green. Fortunately, there is a bailout area to the right if the golfer wants to trust the short game one last time. (not pictured)
