Aliso Viejo Golf Course Review
Aliso Viejo, CA
70.3 rating; 132 slope |
Aliso Viejo Golf Course Overview: Originally designed as three nine hole golf courses, Aliso Viejo was re-vamped in 2006 to be one 18 hole course and went private. Featuring elevation changes and a decent amount of water, this golf course was fun at times, but also has a few bizarre golf holes. This review was based on the holes pre-condensing into the new country club and does not represent a review of the now private course as it may be presented today. The best holes are reviewed below:
Aliso Viejo Hole 3: Slightly downhill off the tee, the pretty looking drive should avoid the lake and the bunkers, as well as the hillside to the left. The uphill approach to the green is easier from the right side of the fairway.

Aliso Viejo Hole 12: This good, dogleg right par four wraps around a large bunker on the right and affords great views of the Irvine area. The greenside bunker must be avoided.
Aliso Viejo Hole 17: This island golf hole par three is tough as the multi-tiered green is severe so, as if hitting the island wasn’t enough, the golfer needs to be more precise.
