Reunion Legacy Golf Course Overview: This golf course design by Arnold Palmer is a well-rounded resort course. There are a few golf holes that don't pose any real trouble where the golfer can go for birdie, and a few that are quite tight and difficult with par being a great score. The golf course has a good blend of trees, sand and water mixed throughout the course as the featured hazards to avoid. The best golf holes are featured below:
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 1: The opening hole is a dogleg left around a well-positioned bunker. There is a lake through the fairway but it's hard to reach off the tee. It is not, however, hard to find on the approach as the multi-tiered green is set up right against it.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 1: The opening hole is a dogleg left around a well-positioned bunker. There is a lake through the fairway but it's hard to reach off the tee. It is not, however, hard to find on the approach as the multi-tiered green is set up right against it.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 2: This par three is slightly downhill and has large bunkers on either side of the green. The worst miss, however, is going long as a slope will kick balls down to death.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 3: This par five features one of the more difficult drives on the course with OB right and trees on either side of the fairway lots of bunkers to the left. From there, the second shot needs to play between more trees and the the green has trouble left and long.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 5: This par three has a waste area right but it's only in play for a big push. The green has a pot bunker guarding the front-right and mounds over there too. There are more bunkers left and long so any miss of the green will generally be a tough up and down.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 6: This tough par four doglegs right but has OB that is in play to the left side. There are numerous bunkers and a waste area to the right of the fairway. The green is sandwiched between more sand traps pretty much everywhere.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 7: This short par four can be driven off the tee and the landing area between the water right and left is pretty wide. However, there are three bunkers that can grab shots as well. The layup landing area off the the tee is also generous so good scores are available.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 8: If one fared well on the previous hole, the eighth will then go to work on the psyche. Very long and guarded by oodles of sand to the right, the best drive will hug the right side of the fairway to leave a shorter approach and better angle to the slightly raised green.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 11: This par four features a relatively open drive, but avoiding the big bunker to the left is a must. The approach is slightly downhill to a green with only one bunker right.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 12: This par four is a little uphill and has a pretty wide landing area, but the bunkers and trees to the right really should not be flirted with as they will hamper scoring.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 13: Perhaps the most purely difficult hole on this course, the drive must be smashed between the lakes left and right of the fairway. Although there is a little more room to the right than is apparent from the tee, there really isn't much. The second shot is then played to a green with trouble on both sides, so the golfer has to bring accuracy to this hole.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 14: There is not much room to bailout on this par three over a hazard, but it is very short, so a confident short iron play can lead to birdie.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 15: This is a cool par five with a drive that has to clear the lake and the row of palm trees to get to the fairway. The more to the right one goes, the longer the carry over both, but the shorter the approach will be to the green, which sits high up on a hill to the right.
Reunion Legacy Course Hole 17: This downhill par four features a very unique drive as there is nothing but sand between the player and where they want to go. However, the farther left, the more sand there is to carry with a reward of a wedge in hand if successful. Right is more tame but still requires the right club to carry the trouble. The green has more undulation than most on this course.
