Paiute Golf Course, Sun Mountain Course Overview: The most classic desert layout of the 54 golf holes of the Paiute resort features a decent combination of good views and tough holes, but not as many purely enjoyable or memorable ones. The best golf holes are mentioned below:
Paiute Golf Course, Sun Mountain Course Hole 1: The first golf hole of the day is pretty typical of what the golfer will face throughout the day. The fairway is forgiving with limited bunkering, but if missed, the Las Vegas desert will take its toll. The approach is also not overly difficult with nice views of the surrounding desert desolation. |
Paiute Golf Course, Sun Mountain Course Hole 4: This difficult par three is a challenge not only for the obvious water hazard, but also for the close proximity of the bunkers to the green and the desert just left and behind.
Paiute Golf Course, Sun Mountain Course Hole 15: This short par has a split fairway and in the right conditions can be nearly driven. Depending on the pin location, the drive angle and length are very important to set up the correct angle for the approach shot. (not pictured)
Paiute Golf Course, Sun Mountain Course Hole 18: The last golf hole of the day is the classic “avoid the water” hole with the lake in play left on both shots. Other than that, it is pretty straight forward and wide open, like the rest of the course.
