Desert Mountain, Cochise Course Overview: One of six Jack Nicklaus golf courses in the exclusive Desert Mountain golfing community, this one is difficult for a desert track, but not exciting. A traditional desert layout, this course features rock formations, desert areas and the obligatory water hazards to make the golfer suffer. The most intriguing golf holes are mentioned below:
Desert Mountain, Cochise Course Hole 2 (right): This nice, little downhill par three is visually stunning with the long desert views from the tee. The green is nestled between bunkers to the right and rock formations to the left, making accuracy the key ingredient for success.
Desert Mountain, Cochise Course Hole 6: This little par four features two greens (only one in play at a time). Both are elevated, tiny, and devilishly close to the desert, requiring the player to hit a perfect second shot. The only real difference is the desired location of the drive (left for the right green and visa versa). (not pictured)

Desert Mountain, Cochise Course Hole 7: This downhill par 3 is long, and over water the entire way. The shared island green is enormous so some interesting putts or chips can await the golfer on their second shot. If being an island green wasn’t enough, there is also a patch of desert on the island awaiting any errant shots. This is a very difficult golf hole.
