My favorite funny golfing memory of the trip was being called a "Monster" by a very nice couple from Seoul, South Korea I was playing with, after hitting a drive 290 on the fly. Normally, being called a monster isn't good (trust me, I've been called that and worse by family and friends), but in this case, it was great.
I just got back from a trip with the family to Lake Tahoe and I ventured out away from the lake and played Coyote Moon in Truckee, CA (about 45 minutes north of Lake Tahoe) and also played Graeagle Meadows Golf Course in another golfing mecca about an hour northwest of Reno. Both courses featured lots of big trees to avoid, like the one pictured below. Check out the Lake Tahoe / Reno area course reviews to see these new postings.
